Meaghan Oppenheimer is a writer on Fear the Walking Dead.

In Season 1 Oppenheimer wrote "Not Fade Away", the fourth episode.

Oppenheimer works as an actor, writer and producer. As a writer she is also known for:

  • We Are Your Friends (2015 screenplay)
  • Hot Mess (2010 Short)
  • The Remains (screenplay)

"The Remains" made it onto The Black List at joint 6th place in 2013.

The Black List describes itself as a "most liked list" and is made up from the suggestions of 250+ film execs. To get on the list a script has to be written in that year, have not started filming by the end of that year, and be suggested by at least 6 of the film execs. The synopsis of "The Remains" is: "Three former childhood friends with a complicated history get back together to spread the ashes of their friend who recently died."

Oppenheimer is currently (end of 2015, start of 2016) working on a new show for ABC that will star Reece Witherspoon, the show will be called Please Don't Go.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Oppenheimer was hired for Fear by showrunner Dave Erickson. Erickson had seen one of her scripts ("The Remains") and invited her in for interview. Oppenheimer describes this (a relatively unknown writer being invited to write for what turned out to be the most anticipated new series of 2015) as "fairly routine"[2].
